This section offers photos related to Japanese society, culture, nature and Japanese people’s lifestyle. They are divided into six categories: "food and diet," "seasons and events," "travel, transportation and streets," "nature and animals," "daily life" and "health." These are relatively new photos taken for use in Japanese-language learning for the purpose of understanding Japanese culture. They include photos which are difficult to obtain elsewhere, such as photos of the daily life of ordinary people and restaurant kitchens.
